TAMEB Handicraft Project in Ankara

The production of high-quality handicrafts needs to be technically well mastered. In Ankara, our Turkish partner STL Global Association is currently training Syrian and Turkish women to become professional tailors in state-certified training modules. This technical component is complemented by a design module, where the women work together with an international designer to create a clothing collection for toddlers between 2 and 5 years of age and test various marketing channels. Only local fabrics and materials from Turkey will be used. The pieces of the collection captivate with the simplicity of modern cuts in combination with embroidery patterns for which Syria and Turkey are known.
