Strengthening young girls and women as (future) entrepreneurs or (future) managers is the focus of a PartnerAfrica project that the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs (VdU) is implementing in cooperation with Global Project Partners (GPP) in cooperation with the Women Investment Club (WIC) Côte d'Ivoire and the Women Investment Club (WIC) Senegal. The project is running under the umbrella of the Women in Business Network.

The main objective of the project is creating jobs in both partner countries through supporting women led startups and scale ups. Qualification of women and improving their working environment are two more KPIs of the project. Further, the project will be implementing a series of programs which have been developed through the WiB Network: SheMadeIT Africa which offers female STEM students career guidance, Women on Board which is supporting businesswomen and female managers to become board members and members of the advisory boards of national, regional or international companies and authorities, WiB Finance which will offer a wide range of sessions and training around the topic of finance and financial inclusion of women.

The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through Sequa gGmbH (2022-2025).
